October : A Terrific Varun Dhawan Falls in Love with a Coma Patient

October's Trailer says " THIS IS NOT A LOVE STORY " and " THIS IS A STORY ABOUT LOVE ". Yes. This Movie does not have the usual Romantic Cliché scenes which feature in Indian Romantic Dramas since Varun Dhawan's love for Shiuli Iyer begins after Shiuli dies (almost).
Dan (Varun Dhawan) and Shiuli (Banita Sandhu) are Co-Interns in a Hotel who just have a Professional Relationship with each other. There is no Romance between them. But, just about 15 mins into the Movie, she slips and falls off the Terrace of the hotel due to the presence of Winter Dew during New Year’s Eve Party. He is not present at that moment as he is away for New Year. The last words she speaks are “ Where is Dan ? ”. She is admitted into one of Delhi’s biggest Hospitals and declared to have entered into a state of “ Coma ”.
Thus begins a Beautiful Relationship between Varun Dhawan and Shiuli’s family consisting of Shiuli’s Mother (Prof. Vidya Iyer played by Gitanjali Rao), Shiuli’s Sister and Brother. When he comes to know that he was what she last talked about, he develops a strong connection with her and visits her regularly in the hospital taking care of her. All the while she is bed ridden, does not talk and responds very feebly to external stimuli. Her Mother advises him to leave her and concentrate on his career. He loses his job in Delhi, goes to Kullu but still can’t get her out of his mind and comes back to Shiuli in the hospital.
When she starts Rolling her Eyes, she is taken back to her Home and is still taken care of by Varun Dhawan. But one night, unfortunately, she has a Seizure and she passes away.
Shiuli had been named so by her Mother in Bengali after the Night Jasmine Flower which she used to collect and play with as a child. It Blooms only in October, has a very small Lifetime and so did Shiuli. Shiuli’s mother requests Varun to take the Night Jasmine Plant (Shiuli) in their Garden with him and take care of it as they have decided to Relocate to their native in South India. He takes the Night Jasmine Plant back to his home indicating that he will continue to take care and live the rest of his life with Shiuli.
Writer Juhi Chaturvedi along with Director Shoojit Sircar have delivered this Gem of a Film to Reflect on how Life can Change Forever in Seconds. When Shiuli’s Uncle becomes Pessimistic and wants to pull the plug, Varun is the most Optimistic that she will return back to Normalcy. During the days when Varun is not present in the hospital as he works in Kullu, Shiuli behaves aggressively scratching herself. When he Returns, she Calms down. She is able to Detect and Respond to his Presence and this is what the creators convey as “Love” and that it can Bloom during Unexpected Times and Situations.

Geetha Govindam : Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale - The Song of 2 Srirams

This Article is Not a Review of this Movie. I have Expressed My Thoughts on this Movie in this Article. Geetha Govindam  (GG) is a Perfect Example for the Effect an Excellent Song can have on a Movie’s Box Office Crowd. Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale, the Fantastic Carnatic Melody created by the Talented Gopi Sundar , sung by the Heavenly Gifted Sid Sriram  and written by the Magical Hands of Anantha Sriram  gets a Thunderous Arousal in the movie theatre during the opening credits scene when th e Violin part at the Beginning of the Song (True Bliss) starts to play. Visually, GG rides on the Sparkling Chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika. The story gives an Equal Importance to both the Male and the Female Protagonists and thus is one of the Highlights of this movie. Vijay Deverakonda looks Comfortable in his Role and carries his Character with much ease. His Transition from the ill-tempered Doctor in Arjun Reddy is Commendable. His “Sorry...

Celebrating One Year of the Gabba Breach

One year since the Gabba was breached. Down Underdogs on SonyLiv is a stunning tribute to India's test series win against Australia in Australia 2020-21. The Adelaide Aberration, Melbourne Magic, Sydney Seige and Brisbane Breach are not just 4 episodes but lessons for life. To win with an injury-ravaged Indian side against full-strength Australia in hostile Australian conditions with Smith and Warner coming back was very special. Virat Kohli - Ravi Shastri's fire. Ajinkya Rahane's ice. Rohit Sharma's presence. Pant's devastation. Pujara's rock block. Bumrah's pace. Ashwin's guile. Gill's plain bat. Vihari's grit. Thakur's all-round effort. Siraj's lion heart. Sundar's confidence. Paine's invitation to Gabba. From 36-all-out to fortress Gabba breached. The series had it all. With all its ups and downs, the series was life itself. No wonder ICC rates it as the greatest test series ever played. The Virat Kohli 70 in Adelaide, 36/9 al...

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - Susan Bunch

This Article is my Answer in Response to a Question on Quora :  https://qr.ae/TUhlqT Apart from the 3 Lead Actresses in F.R.I.E.N.D.S who are obviously Good Looking - Monica, Phoebe and Rachel, the understated Actress in terms of Good Looks is  Susan Bunch. She has a Characteristic Natural Smile on her Face that adds to her Adorable Look. Her banters with Ross have produced some Funny Moments in F.R.I.E.N.D.S since her Sarcasm is very good and she Deserves the Title “Female Chandler” more than anyone else. She has a lot of fights and tiffs with Ross over the course of the Series. But Rarely does she Lose that Charming Smile. Follow me on Quora :  Narendiran  for more Answers.
